The
Chicago Bears
managed just three points from their offense this past week, but a safety scored by the defense beat the
Tennessee Titans
in overtime. The defense also posted an interception return touchdown while special teams scored a TD on a punt return. A second punt return TD was called back by a phantom penalty.
Final tally for Bears scoring:
Defense ¨ 9
Special Teams ¨ 7
Offense ¨ 3
In the NFL, the offense scores 92% of the points while the defense and special teams account for just 6% and 2%, respectively. The Bears lead the league in scoring by their defense with 32 points, 21% of their total team points.
