Quick note updating the rankings. We have now had three games played, six starts—but no starts for which it was possible to park-adjust the Game Scores. The first two games were in Japan—who knows what the Park Effects were there—and the third game was the first game played in the new park in Miami.
Kyle Lohse’s strong performance moves him from 88th in the rankings to 74th. That’s a little bit misleading without context. As other pitchers make their first starts of the season, some of them will move past Lohse, so that, by the time he makes his next start, he won’t be 74th; he might be back to 78th or 80th or something. He’ll be ahead of where he was before.
Josh Johnson improved his rating score from 354.9 to 356.9, and moved up in the rankings from 119th to 118th.
